My guess is that they wanted to send a message to M3 sedan fans that the sedan is still alive and kicking and getting some love too. Of course, it might have no bearing on whether they ultimately decide to give in and produce an F30 M3 later. But, from a marketing POV they want to keep people's dreams alive and interest up, at least until the E90 M3 is gone.

I do like those brake calipers though! Can't make out if they're sliding or fixed.

All these news say it is not April's fools... Tomorrow, BMW will make an announcement saying that Royal Edition is real, and the pick-up and the light weight were the jokes.

I dont think this is a joke. M has intended to release one last M3 variant before they introduce the F-generation 3 series. I think this is it.....

I see the coupe guys are already complaining. Didn't hear anyone complain on all the other coupe only special editions. E90 finally gets one and flames start to erupt.

Once again, If I wanted a sedan, I would get an M5. M3 is a coupe car.

Sorry, we all forgot the world revolves around you.

Here-here for the sedan folk getting a special variant too As usually happens, all the naysayers will pile in and flame BMW, without any facts of course, and then BMW will prove them wrong. As is normal these days. I'm putting my money on some serious weight savings....

If it is real, I think the likelyhood of this car making it to the states is preety low.

I didn't say it revolved around me. As you did, I merely expressed an opinion. But thank you for apologizing.

Nonetheless, I don't understand the desire for an M3 sedan... I guess it handles better than an M5 would, but its not as quick, much less torque, much less room. I don't know, I'd love to hear the reasoning, hopefully asking for that doesn't offend you as well.

This car was done in the E90 because the Coupe which will see something too has around a year and a half to the end of it's production.

M3 Sedan has months and you can count them on your fingers.

Why not have an M3 sedan? Some, like myself, prefer the looks and it can do EVERYTHING a coupe could do. I hope the e90 won't make it stateside as Ill seriously be jealous
