CA License Plate question...

took delivery back in mid-August and still haven't received my plate (non-vanity)...i know DMV is probably just being DMV, but I was just wondering what kind of wait other recent new car buyers in Cali have experienced.

I've heard that with the DMV closing 3 Fridays per month, license plates can take up to 10 weeks (!).

Bought my car in June the 16th. Got my plates on Sept 5th.

thanks for the replies guys, i figured that DMV was the bottleneck.

oh well, at least i don't have to worry about red light cams for a while, haha.

for my car i got it within 3 weeks.

i think there is a mentioned period of time for you to get the plates, otherwise it's your responsibility to go to dmv office to sort it out.

the real question is......how long it take you to put the rear plate on?

we all know the front plate isn't going on
