This. Exactly why you shouldn't buy pre-painted parts. (i.e. Euro bumpers, lips, boot lids) also why you shouldn't ship your parts somewhere to be painted without sending your car for paint match

There are 12 different variants of the AW300 paint code, the purest white having the least of the other colors of course.

So you probably just found yourself with a car in the lower 6 shades hence why yours looks more yellow than other AW BMW's. Jesus Christ its amazing what you can learn from the boys over at Martino Auto Concepts. Derek did not simply tell me this, he took me down and showed me all the shades in his paint book with all the mixture contents and everything. Once again, those guys are gods.

So you can take your car to have a full body paint correction if you really wanted. Good luck OP

My AW in my E92 seemed to fade. My M3 friends said I have a special paint color called, "Eggshell white."

Uh....NO. This is bad information. Never use dish washing liquid on your car. It will eat clearcoat. Dish washing liquid is for dirty dishes...not dirty cars.

You see all those cars with F-d up clearcoat chipping and oxidizing?... it's cause the owners are too cheap to buy car washing liquid and use dish soap to wash their cars.

Incorrect. Some detailers actually use dawn soap to strip off LSP's. (Wax,etc.)

And these people are charging upwards of 5 bills, doing Lambo's etc..

Please tell me, what does chipping of the paint have to do with washing your car with dish soap?

It only strips off the old wax guys..not to be used everytime. Natural wax will yellow in time due to the sunlight. You can strip the old wax off the car by washing it with a dish washing solution (obviously diluted with water...). Then go back to using a car wash soap..

You missed my point completely...you do it only to remove the old wax off the car, not to do it every wash. Read what I wrote...You want to strip the old wax off the car by washing it with dish washing liquid never told him to continuously wash the car with dish washing liquid.

prove to me how dish washing soap damages clear coat. Modern clear is made to stand up to worse things the environment has to offer.

BMW isn't any different.

Was this directed to me?? I actually agreed with you..all it does is strip off the wax, that's why you don't want to use it unless you want to rewax your car every wash. Not because it strips off the clear coat.
