Everyday this guy in a 3 series would go in and out of traffic to catch up to me on one of the busiest roads we have in NJ (Rt 1) just because of the sound of my car. He even one day had the nerve to do the 3 honks next to me and took off. I'm sorry but I don't race people on public roads, especially during rush hour traffic. I also wouldn't race with the G37 sedan because that car is somewhat like a boat when it comes to suspension.

Most of the M3 drivers I see on a daily basis are 40+ and have no mods done to their cars. When I had the G37x modded (before I parted it out), every now and again I would have other owners of cars race up to my car to see what was done to it (oddly enough it was mainly Audi owners).
+1, it's always DB 335i drivers that feel insufficient and need to prove themselves to M3 owners.

Funny it was a GTR egging me on yesterday in my 335 in south OC so it goes both ways. The run was from a dead stop on a road with a 60 mph limit. Even though my 0-60 times are in the mid-3 sec range, the GTR driver didn't use launch control as I presume he thought i was going to be an easy kill. We started @ the same time and I pulled about 10 feet until I shut down at around 70 mph and the GTR kept going. I have an n54 motor w/19psi + meth, LSD with PSS tires. This is not the only GTR I've beat. Being a sleeper has advantages.

I give nicely modded 3er's thumbs up all the time, and I never care enough to race on the streets because that's silly and dangerous. A few 335's have tried to egg me on, but I don't blame it on the fact that they drive 335's, but the fact that the drivers are just morons in general.

I gave a cleanly modded 335 a thumbs up on the 405S the other day on the way to work and he gave me the finger. w/e, stupid is as stupid does.

Here are two reasons NOT to race when you have a stock-fast car.

A) If you win : Nobody cares.
B) If you lose : You get made fun of.

What's with the stock M3 drivers who always want to race me? Usually I have the self-control (i.e. my wife screaming at me) to ignore most drivers who want to race. But there's something about these M3 drivers that makes me want to press the power button and drop it in 3rd and destroy them! Is there something wrong with me? I think they honestly think they own a Exotic or something. Serenity now...serenity now...serenity now.

Sorry for the rant. I'm going back to work now. I feel better.

yea shut the fuck up

^^ That whole scene is confusing at best.

Still... I've seen some cars on here that are modded to hell and look like shit.

Ehh.. I used to kill tuned 335i in my Evo. So what is the big deal? The 335i is way too heavy and RWD doesn't help. AWD 2 stage launch control FTW. Oh, and don't even talk about track. 335i on a road track is a joke.

this is a sidebar 335/GTR discussion. And only because a GTR owner mentioned that he get harrassed by 335's regularly and it was ironic that just the previous evening, a GTR was trying to egg me on. So it was quite interesting when I pulled on him from a dead stop. Yeah he floored it but my guess is that he didn't use launch control. I could really car less about your EVO. Speaking of which, reminds me of my race against one two months ago at the Shift-S3ctor Big Willow roll-on event, I ran an almighty 440 AWHP EVO on teh back straight 40 MPH to 130+ MPH and I put 2 cars on it with my barely-modified 335. About 100 witnesses and vids.

A "barely-modified" 3550lb. 335 (380-400hp?) ran a 3200lb. 550+ hp Evo? Kudos to you, shame on the Evo's driver.

Congrats too on beating a GTR, some people don't realize how ridiculously fast chipped 335s are.

Procede+meth+intake+dps = 413/446 RWHP. Plus and LSD and tires for traction. That's all my mods. Certainly not a fast 335 by any means. I'm not even FBO.

Look I'm not delusional - I'm sure if the GT-R driver knew what he was doing and used launch control, I would have lost from a dead stop. But if it was stock and the GT-R driver just layed into the throttle like I did, it's expected. I don't have any idea what year GT-R it was but from what I remember 2009-2011's dyno in the 400 AWHP range and 2012's around 430 AWHP and they certainly weight a lot more than me.

The EVO driver had + 1 passenger. I was expecting to loose but you never know.

No way on a 440whp Evo. What kind of dyno number is this? Dynojet? If it is Dynojet, the numbers don't count. Dynojet is not load bearing so the numbers are always sky high. Either that number is overstated or someone can't drive in a straight line.

I'd walk JB4 335i all day in my Evo X with nothing except a custom dyno tune. Imagine if I actually had hard mods done.

Your car definately sounds pretty quick. I would like to run your 335 one of these days. I'm in the OC. No LC race from a dig. What do you say? PM me if interested.
