What's played, what's not? Anymore, it's almost all been done and done for a while. Good thing about living in Columbus, Ohio is that we're about 5 years behind. People thought my Z4 coupe was a spaceship, they'll think my matte silver is primer. I don't care.

Back in 2000 I owned a matte silver RX-7. Lived in Newport and Huntington Beach and I don't remember seeing another matte car. The car looked amazing. My friends nicknamed the car The Tuna Trawler.

If I still lived back home I'm sure I'd see a ton of matte cars now. Have yet to see a matte car here in Maryland.

Some cars look good in frozen\matte, others not so much. I really don't think it's a fad that's going to go away, simply because of how the paint\wrap changes the lines of the vehicles it's used on. I think the E92 M3 looks great in the right shade of frozen. Frozen red IS NOT one of those colors.

As always, caring too much about what others think is not a solution for the choices you make about your car.

AlynM3's matte white M is bad-ass!!! Haven't seen another M wrapped in white to this day.

when the manufactures decide to do it, it's getting old. All Matte is played out. IMO so is exposed CF.

IMHO matte was out before it even started. It looks cool on a high end show car like a Lamborghini but on everything else looks out of place

tell me about it, thousands, everyday, all day. I think its been like this for the past, oh I dont know 100+ years.. I guess in certain areas Matte is over done, but in Phoenix I can count on my 2 hands how many matte cars I have seen.
