wheels that fill the wheel-well (offset) that would not require spacers?

I have stock 2008 m3 coupe and want to get some nice wheels that would look good, fill out the fenders (flush) that would not require a spacer.

i have been reading about the spacer options some people say spacers are a work around for a correct offest solution. Meaning if you had the correct offest you would get the same results without the spacers.

I don't understand how to figure the wheels/offset I need.

Any suggestions?

I like something simple looking wheels, like the competition wheels (or similar) but more filled up (flush) than stock wheels/tires.

Depends on the size of the wheel too (width). The Morr VS8.2 is 19x9 front and 19x10 rear with offsets of 22 and 20. They sit very flush without being so aggressive that you will have issues with rubbing. There are lots of wheels that will sit flush for the M3 without spacers if you do a little digging... the Morr VS8.2 are my personal favourite as they are similar to the ZCP wheels but nicer looking, lighter and sit much better.

Finding the right wheel offset and tire combination to fill out your wheel wells seems to be an art form. It has become somewhat of a hobby of mine to research such things... I have found that Volk wheels tend to push their wheel offsets and widths as far as reasonably possible which makes their specs a good benchmark for determining the offset you are looking for. See my signature for a what I think is a perfectly flush set up. You should also use the search function to find pictures of Volk TE37 or TE37SL. Both of those wheels are available in 18" and 19" size in 22 mm offset (9.5" wide in front and 10.5" wide in rear). I am personally biased towards Volk's because they are high quality and build wheels in aggressive widths and offsets and, like you, I want to fill out my wheel arches!

If you like the competition wheels you could buy a set and add spacers to achieve the look you desire. Another option is the BBS CH-R. They have great sizing and offsets which would not require spacers to get your look.

You will also learn that tires vary in size depending on the manufacturer. In other words not all tires of the same "size" are actually the same size (Yokohama's run wide for example). My observation is that the widest tires that anyone has put on the rear of the M3 is a 315 but those where Toyo's which I think run a little narrow. The widest tire on the front is 275's. Offset, tire width, and tire manufacturer / size really begin to matter when you are pushing the envelope on sizing. I have found that the sponsors on this forum are very knowledgable and helpful (Wheelsto, IND, GTMotoring, etc.).
