What's Happening Right Now...
We still have a few loose ends to tie up with the build - but we are up and running. Have had a few bugs to work out - mainly in the fuel system. Moving forward we can now start to focus on the suspension setup when we are at the track. Our primary focus is on racing - but we will mix in some time trial for extra track time.
There are a few items that we have not had time to address yet. We are planning on modifying the intake to feed directly from the kidney grill opening straight back into a Karbonius race airbox. The radiator will have to be lowered and angled to gain the clearance needed. At that time we will also be seeing if we have the room to run chimney vents from the radiator guided out to the hood vents. We have a gap in the schedule from April to mid June that we will be focusing on these items. Still have the air jacks that we want to install as well and overall just pretty everything up - but reliability and speed will take priority. I do want to give huge thanks to the guys at M-Technik in San Antonio. Not only have they done all the work on the car but they have also been completely awesome in guidance and support on the track as well. Just an all around great group of guys that I didn’t know this time last year but now I’m proud to call my friends. Good people, good cars, good times – just doesn’t get any better than this Last edited by OG Shark; 02-26-2020 at 09:29 AM.. Reason: Updated List |

Hope to see you out at COTA again this year!
I see you chose the Drexler LSD. What made you go with that one?

Does the car allow you to code in the final ratio so it knows how to rev match?

Well hello to you too and thanks! Probably going to break your heart on the color though - I'm about 99.999% its not going to stay grey. Something different for me too - my boldness in exterior color is usually limited to which shade of grey to pick this time. |

Shooting to make it out there in November having had some decent seat time first with everything new going in right now. Really would like to get out there in October with EA if possible.
I've *set* a personal goal of 2:25 in TT3 trim at COTA. Not sure how realistic it is but we're going to get at it pretty hard. Current trim best of 2:30.75 on 295 R7's so we'll see what happens. I am going there with Chin in a couple of weeks. My almost 70 year old father made it through the wait list to do his first ever track event there. I picked up an '18 M2 that I'll run around a bit in. He's going to terrorize the novice group in a bright orange ZR1. Ought to be a riot but its going to be stupid hot out there. http://www.m3racing.de/e92umbau2.html#6 I think it was one of your posts that I came across it actually. Going through data for different wings their numbers definitely stood out. Hopefully that holds true on this platform. Looking forward to hearing your impressions after you have a chance to run it a bit. Thank you for your service to the wing community Last edited by OG Shark; 06-08-2019 at 09:46 AM.. |

Is that the Chin after dark one? I'm really thinking of doing it. I was looking at Schnell fest on Friday and the Hallett event today but got burned when a girl flaked out on me.

The night ones are edge addicts - they have one in July and August. Trying for the August one but not sure I’m going to be able to swing it. Chin is June 22/23 - standard hpde. Bummer missing out on those two, Hallett in particular looks pretty fun.

This in one form or another is what I have heard when talking to anybody about it. That and its a shame I wasn't tracking when TWS was open are the two most common things I hear about tracks in our "area". I'm assuming I'll get out there during the NASA event next year, just would be nice if it wasn't 10hr away.
