What Color Calipers?

Hi, I am thinking of getting my brakes painted professionally, the shop can do any color. My car is an e92 Jet Black, 18 inch OEMS, Fox Red ext...what color should i get.
Guy recommended silver over the fine, said it was clean, but said he would like to see my rims first to make a recommendation.
I am really thinking red, black, white, silver or yellow.
I think PCCB Yellow would look great with the oem rims, but the guy warned me of break dust build-up....slammed how are your white ones holding-up? I dont plan on being any better at cleaning my brakes than I am now...which is horrendous, but car is washed every 2.5 weeks.
What color do you guys recommend, I am thinking without decals, just plain color? I have no idea where to get the stencil or wtv anyway, I am not looking for fake brembos.

Please help me out, and any words of caution...I have the BMW Maintenance plan that covers brakes, could this void it in any way? Also when the change my brakes in a year or so, the colored caliper remains, right?

Thanks for the help and opinions, also, my exterior is not modded at all, I just think the stock brakes shouldve had more pop, though i dont want a boy-racer...
thanks

I believe the 18s and the calipers have the ideal color because brake dust just blends in. So I wouldn't recommend any change, especially because the stock pads are very very dusty and you plan to have BMW maintain your brakes, so you will have stock pads for some time.

Only BMW will know if warranty could be voided.

niqui, do whatever color but i feel like you shouldnt do red or yellow cos those are the colors that cheap civics always do when they cant afford the real brembos or stoptechs.

oh and it wont void your warranty. just be sure that whatever color your choose, be prepared for more cleaning! black's awesome cos you dont have to do anything to keep them clean!

ok, yes these brakes do just blend in, kinda my issue with them, but i dont track at all really, once/twice a year max, if that makes any diff.
thanks, but just painting voiding a warranty? last question though, when they replace your brakes, not just pads, do they change the caliper too>?
you think its a waste of money,?

he said silver like the c63 looks clean and doesnt attract to much dust, same with red and black.

i say silver looks good... it will help stand out since your wheels are dark. red doesnt attract much dust but have you seen the number of neons, civics, cobalts, etc out there with stock calipers painted red?? it looks bad cos its like posing and trying to show off your brakes even though they are only stockers. save the red for when you get real brembos!

Even if you don't track dust is plenty IMO -> more cleaning.

Calipers stay on forever. They only change pads and rotors.

How about just getting a set of AP Racing brakes?

Red looks good, but only if it is an aftermarket caliper IMO.

I wouldn't do it. The design of the caliper is going to make it a bitch to keep it clean IMHO. But if you are cool with an extra 15-20mins on cleaning the car, then I guess go for it.

I don't think silver behind gunmetal is going to look that great. I think white would also look bleh...I'd choose red first, then yellow.

$3.99 plus tax caliper spray paint; more than 3 months/5000+ miles of use and still clean, no peeling, no stains...

Our single-piston calipers are nothing to brag about IMO, plus with stock pads they'd look dirty right away, so why bother, but to each his own. Take care.

Paint it silver!
Painting it red or yellow = rice.

As for the brake dust, yeah, I haven't cleaned my wheels for months, even my 19's look kinda black now.

hi, found this thread while looking at a way of painting my calipers (brembo ones by the way) and couldnt help but laugh at those "looking like ricer" comments now that bmw is making the exact thing by painting red the stock calipers of the special editions m3s. I guess that bmw realized what the guys who posted pictures already knew for some time now, that even stock calipers look cooler on red

A darker red. Def not fire-engine red. But not maroon. That might help hide some of the breakdust. Maybe.

I'd skip this, not really that cool with stock calipers. Wait until your maintenance plan is up and replace the whole system with a quality big brake kit. Good luck

1 on leaving them unpainted.

Not saying this is you but when I see painted stock calipers it reminds me of those who just want the look of aftermarket calipers.

Agreed, not something I'd want to make more obvious.. understated in black I think is still the way to go, otherwise just get a bbk upgrade
