Going to Fredricksburg for the weekend. Likely won't put the new wheels on the car until we return.

I'm staying stock ride height. Car barely clears going up the driveway now.

Smart move on staying with the stock ride height. Imo, it looks perfect.

Btw Phil, I'm not sure whether you should bring the X6M or your M3

This is the location that Powerchip used to tune many Houstonians M3s. I'm not sure what type of dyno they have though. This is also where I'm going to get my Eibach Pro-Kit and Philips 6700K D1S bulbs installed next Thursday.

Can Driver Source (or anyone, for that matter) tweak Dinan's "tune" to match your specific vehicle/upgrades? I'm assuming if you get the Dinan software coupled with, say, the catless midpipe, that it does not include a formal dyno tune?

3 letters my friend, BMS (Bavarian Machine Specialties). They will "tweak" your M to GTR caliber despite your multi-manufactured upgrades. Disregard the "gentleman" (John) at the front desk, he is rather rude to put it mildly, but their mechanics are the best in town as far as BMW specialists are concerned. You will pay a pretty penny, but it is worth it, trust me. If nothing else it would be nice to see Mike's shop live on despite his death and continue to be the best BMW service center in the city! One love Mike, just poured one out my man. You and your shop have always been the best!

Any good tuner can do a custom tune to bring out the most power for your specific mods. But by "tweaking" the Dinan tune, you essentially will no longer have a Dinan tune. It will be changed. A tune is just a combination of balancing out a variety of factors like air-fuel ration, timing, throttle, so that they work in harmony to bring the most power out of the car. So really, if you have many different mods, you'll want a custom tune...not an off the shelf tune with standard settings.

With the OEM BMW settings you have the BMW warranty. Once you have the Dinan tune, then you have a Dinan warranty if BMW says it's not their issue. Once you have some third party touch it, your engine is truly yours (depending on the third party's financial resources and inclination to support you). If you've already bought a Dinan tune, you're better off imo to go to a Dinan dealer if you need your tune revised.
