Sure I'll buy that. I'm sure it won't be a big difference but it should be a little cheaper.

I'd like the e90 to be cheaper (since that's the body style I'd prefer), but according to msn.com, the e36 coupe & sedan had the same base price. That's leads me to believe the e90 & e92 M3 will have the same base price.

The E90 will almost certainly not have the CF roof, so they will likely price it cheaper.

I wouldn't bet on it..........!

The E90 M3 will be HOT and BMW is not going to ask for less money on a car that is such a hot item. As posted elsewhere the E36 coupe and sedan were the same price- expect nothing different here with the new "M"s.

Oh, and a CF roof or not will not make a diff..........

I think the sedan will be between $2,000-$3,000 cheaper. The extra weight alone should slow it down & coupes are usually better handlers than sedans. The 335i & 328i sedans are cheaper than than the coupes as well. Coupes are sexier, at least that is the perception.

Just kidding..........

The new sedan will more than likely have a CF roof but even if it doesn't they are not going to price it cheaper.....

As mentioned before the E36 sedan and coupe were priced the same, and you cannot compare non-M model pricing (ala e90/e92) to BMW's "M" model pricing- they are two very different animals marketing wise.....

So again I strongly suspect pricing will be the same......

Lol, this post is.... bogus.
CF Roof will make a difference, a regular roof is cheaper, and therefore it would be reasonable to make the car cheaper.
Also, what makes you think it's so "hot' and possibly hotter than the Coupe?
What are your sources?

The sedan will more than likely NOT have a CF roof. And yes they will price it cheaper than the coupe. It's not rocket science.

BMW have said that all 'M' coupes from now on will have a CF roof, including the M1 which will be one of the next coupe releases.

The M3 pricing has more in common with the M6, which is why it is dangerously close to the M5 price. The M3 sedan will be quite a few thousand less than the M3 coupe because otherwise that too will be too close price wise to the M5.

In my opinion, the sedan will definitely be cheaper than the coupe, but as stated before, it wont be by alot. Most likely 3K max, thats ok because that means ill get more room to drive all the ppl who will want a ride in the M =)

Wink

Just checked BMW USA site base for the M5 is $82,900 base for the M6 $99,100. They have the same engine, suspension etc. Except roof is cf on
M6. Grated the price difference won't be as large but the case can be made the sedan will be cheaper. Know one will really know, just because they priced the E30's the same doesn't mean corporations don't change their policies from 10 - 15 years later. I'll bet you a shinney new penny it will be cheaper

But you don't know that for sure - you are just saying it because its the internet and you don't care about being held liable for what you say. Of course, if you end up being right, you'll gloat about it as if you knew it the whole time.

"again"? That's the first time you've said "strongly suspect", son. Not that anyone's keeping score.

Does anyone really care if the E90 is priced less than the E92? A few thousand dollars difference will not sway the buyer either way. If you like the coupe you'll buy it regardless of price; same goes for the sedan.

i'm pretty sure some people care, namely the people who've posted above you.

just as there's a price increase going from the e90 to the e92, there will be a markup for the respective M versions of those cars. it almost goes without saying.
