TPMS/Valve Kit Install problem

I ordered a set of 219M style wheels, valve stems, and TPMS from getbmwparts and a set of blizzaks from tire rack. I took all the pieces to my local tire shop ranked highest on the tire rack suggested installers. I guess this is the first time they needed to install BMW TPMS/Valve Kit.

Is this the proper valve set for 219M style wheels?

When you first install this piece it is loose. They did not want to torx it down fearing it was not the proper way to install them.

Is there any additional seals that need to go with the valve kit?

What is the proper way to install the TPMS/valve kit on 219M style wheels?

I am going to take it to a dealership and have them installed and mounted. Even if I comeback with the right answer I have no faith in this tire installer.

Looks like it might be the correct valve, but what kind of sensor came with it?

The valve stem part number looks correct. I also have the same question which sensor did you get? Sensor part number for a 2012 should be 36106790054.

Oh one other thing. When changing the winter/summer wheels you just need to reset the TPMS in iDrive to associated the new seasons wheels. Is that correct?

Yes. Just "reset" them in iDrive and after a few miles the car will recognize the new sensors.

I had the tires/TPMS/wheels mounted and balanced at my local BMW dealership with absolutly no problems. Good service!

Cost was $60 cheaper then the local tire shop.
