Thoughts on Tires, Wheels

I am considering buying a set of wheels and tires and was curious as to people's opinions.

Thinking of going with 19x9 fr, 19x11 rears. Looking at the usual offerings ie HRE, ADVAN, ADV.1 etc

For tires, I'm between the Yoko Advan Neova AD08s (255/35/19fr, 295/35/19 rear) yoko doesnt seem to offer 305s in this size
or
Bridgestone potenza Re-11s (255/35/19 fr, 305/35/19 rear)

Any thoughts, opinions on the tires, wheels, fitment, look would be appreciated..

You'll prob rub with the 295/35 rear. I went with 265/30 and 295/30 AD08's. I have them mounted on my RACs and they rub slightly on certain dips in the rear. I haven't played with camber yet.

I saw your car...it looks great. It looks like you lowered it. Was it rubbing prior to the suspension mod? I have read many forum posts on here that have had no problem with 295s in the rear. I don't know about 305s but I'm sure the tire choice will figure in here.

Oh, I just noticed...I made a mistake on the post...rears would be 295/30/19 or 305/30/19 not 35s...sorry about the mistake

I have 295/30 AD08s and they rub a little under heavy compression or with people in the back - on stock suspension. My wheels (RG63) are ET 22, so YMMV depending on the offset of the wheels you go with. You can make it work, esp with a little extra neg camber relative to stock alignment.

I really like your tire choices, but as mentioned above, the 295's or 305's may rub in certain conditions. But if you're definitely going 11" wide wheels, there's no point in stretching a 275 onto them. If you were playing it safer, you could have just gotten a 10" wheel.

If you're going with the big steamroller widths, be prepared to accept an occasional rub, or tinker with the fender wells and camber setting until it works.

As far as RE11 vs AD08, they both rock. Yoko probably a little higher ultimate dry grip, RE11 a little more smooth and controllable at the limits. Both are about as good as it gets for a street tire with some track ability.
