Autobahn + Fun w/ SLS Black Series
I was traveling along the autobahn today and happened upon what looked like the new SLS Black Series at the link below:
The car had some camo attached to it but after searching utube, it looked very similar (but who knows, could have been a tuner-house's project car). Sorry no pics, I was too busy trying not to crash. Anyway, we danced a bit in the high speed lane but even at full throttle acceleration, the M couldn't keep up with that massive Merc. Afterwards he slowed down and we each gave the other a thumbs-up. Needless to say, a great time with a pretty sweet car. 10 minutes of fun on the bahn @ 160 mph = 1/4 tank of fuel :-) |

the video "preview" side-shot pic instantly made me think of a 370Z with a stretched-out hood...
the SLS is insane but this color really doesnt fit it... |

Maybe you pushed your M on across 180 to 190 mph to see what he really had in him!! Some of the M-Flight Members claim to have seen 200 MPH. Me personally I been up to 188 MPH before traffic got too busy.

My car's a 2012 e92 (us spec) and I pushed her till the engine was cutting out, right at 170mph. I was hoping mine wasn't limited by bmw but...damn
I can report that the car felt very composed at those speeds, i was more worried about the traffic. The car did bounce a bit at very high speeds so I set the suspension to normal (down from sport). It was a cool experience, playing with the merc. No hint of fast-n-furious let's race to see who's d$ck is bigger. It was just two finely engineered German machines meeting and dancing in "their element" ... It was bliss and this car truly is epic. |

Sounds like you ran in to a test mule. Kind of cool. Not every day you see a test mule running around. Should of taken some photos and submitted them to the mags!

never really impressed with the SLS. knowing the same engine in the SLS is in the c63 AMG at quarter the price, I have a hard time accepting that. Plus the rear of the SLS is meh.

Think of a CTS-V and ZR1 engine. The SLS has a magnesium intake with 8 separate velocity stacks (M156 has dual 74mm throttle bodies), revised cams, forged & balanced crankshaft, forged pistons, dry sump oil system, mid length headers. |
