Eisenmann Race/Sport type plate

Are there anywhere pics of eisenmann type plates for identification
race- resp. sport-version ?
Ore anybody knows the engraved type numbers for both versions ?

I've got an offer for buying a used one, but seller does not really know
which version it is....

thx in advance

Do you have any photos of the used Eisenmann? I can tell what performance level it is just from looking at the outside.

The Eisenmann Sport has a restriction in one of the connecting pipes between L & R mufflers; also there is mesh inside the mufflers. The Race has neither of these.

Well, my Sport does not have the pinched cross pipe, though it does have the mesh. Here's the plate on mine.

The pinch in the connecting pipe has nothing to do with sport/race that was put there because of the vert.

Thx a lot - that really helps.
So type number is 0310073 and N = Normal (= sport version).

There is only one version thats what im saying. That "kink" in the connecting pipes is so that the same exhaust can be used on both the vert and coupe. That was added after they already started producing the exhausts so newer ones have the kink...... Eisenmann put that there for clearance issues on the vert. so all of them have that.

Thx @all,

this "kink" was missing, so it does not fit to convertible, right ?
So sad to say the deal is off.
Too bad, the quoted price was damn well...

Thanks guys! That's 100% correct. The Sport performance has perforated piping. Its very easy to tell the difference between the two. The pinched piping came out at a later date once Eisenmann tested the system on a E93 M3.

Guess I have a collector's item with the non-pinched pipe! Probably good for .03 HP more!

So I assume the connecting pipes between mufflers are non-functional then?

Eisenmann designed the two center pipes on the M3 system to control resonance within the mufflers, but they don't actually flow exhaust gasses. The small connecting pipes are there to tie the two canisters together and control resonances within the canisters.

a friend of mine will make this damn pinch himself -
so deal is on again .
750 € (~$970) for a 2 month used eisenmann, so it's worth the effort IMO...
