Ahhh..brings back great memories of my ED experience. An M3 is definitely the way to do it though.

btw..it was a Ferrari F430 Scuderia (sick car). You gotta get your car spotting game on man.
I remember doing 120mph in the middle lane on the autobahn and getting passed like I was standing still by a black Lamborghini Gallardo. Dude must have been doing 170 easy.

What do you guys think about going like 4th week of Oct/1st week of Nov for euro delivery? I'm thinking I won't be going through the Alps that late in the year. I'd stick in southern Germany for a while, and try to take it to the Nurburgring if I could (probably slowly and cautiously).
end oct or start nov could be with some lousy days in south germany and the alp. make sure you get some new winter tyres for a trip in the alps.
and i´m not sure when nürburgring close the circuit for the "touristenfahrten"

touristenfahrten can be done till the end of the year, as long as the weather allows it. Take note though that the Ring is not open every day.
See this link for actual opening hours. (please note, the opening hours can change!) http://www.nuerburgring.de/angebote/...dschleife.html

In the alps some passes can already be closed in November because of snow.

to the OP. Why would you punish your car like that? BMW has the brake in periods for a reason. Not only for the engine but also for the LSD and gearbox. A quick high rev in 1st or second OK, but reving it to 8000 RPM for long periods in a high gear on a highway I find just stupid to be honest, just my opinion. Or did you do the break-in service in Europe?

Did you happen to break in you M3 and pass the 1200 mile mark while driving over there? I just realized at the end of you video, you was going faster than the whats recommended during the break in period....
