Make sure you don't blind oncoming traffic with those big ass foglights + HID
In all seriousness, AWESOME ride. I've been tempted with the return of the 5.0 myself... |

Dude, I've been looking for someone on the forum who's gone from E9X to the new body Mustang.
How does it drive? Any real drawbacks? I'm seriously considering a trade.

In all honesty, it doesn't have as good of road feel as my BMW did, however I dont have the track package ,BUT the people who dooo rave about it! Plus on the 2011 Mustangs the track package equipment will become standard so i believe if you are interested in seeing what it feels like do yourself a favor ,and test drive a 2011 5.0 when it comes out. Other then that , I find it to be a MUCH funner car. My BMW felt like it had a sewing machine motor, and it never gave me that " I GOTTA GO DRIVE" feeling, where in this car i CONSTANTLY make useless trips just to hear the exhaust note. Also ill be the first to admit that mustangs in the past had garbage materials on the interior, however I find that in the 2010's Ford really wised up and placed some good materials in there, soft touch dash , one piece instrument panel, aluminum accents , interior lighting , etc. All in all, I dont look back for a second getting rid of my BMW for this. Plus i like to modify my cars, and the aftermarket for this car is ridiculous, and everything is reasonably priced. Hope this helps

The steering is what's concerning me. I have a feeling that the track pack will be a must. I've always love the exhaust. Can't wait to hear the 5.0's. Thanks for the quick write-up.

Nice car, add a hellion turbo kit and there won't be much on the road that could touch this. I've come from a long line of fords, at one time I held 4 SVT certs. 95 cobra, 99 cobra, 00 lightning and 03 lightning. However most of the greedy dealers did not want to deal on a shelby and I found the dealer mark up distasteful. 50K put me in a M3 with less than 6500 miles. All the guys at the race shop do not like the M3 but hey its me that has to drive 24K miles a year and I prefer to drive in comfort. Good luck on the car shes a looker.
I still have the 95 cobra, shes being fitted for a T98 turbo Last edited by Dannys M3; 01-25-2010 at 07:17 PM.. Reason: reminder I still have a ford |

WOAH! That things going to be a BEAST! I was thinking about going with either a procharger or a Roush TVS blower. I havent really looked into the Hellion kits much because I just always felt a blower was more appropriate on a mustang you know. But ive seen some dyno numbers on the 62mm kits and im pretty amazed. However the stock internals really shouldnt be pushed pass 500 to the wheels. So Im really just looking for something that is VERY reliable , and has good power across the entire RPM range.

looks good!
resize ur pics next time please so the stock internals are only good to 500whp??? that surprises me a lot. Hell the inline 6 in my '99 M3 will handle mid 600's on the stock bottom end.

Yeah i know its sad to say it lol. Its due to the fact that the engine doesnt have forged internals . Once you upgrade them and the stock bottom end your looking at 7-800s . Ford purposely didn't overbuild this motor because they have to have their top pony car (GT500) significantly improved from the middle grade GT, for the price difference. And a zillion other reasons I'm sure lol
