Noticeable difference after 1200 miles service?

For those of you that had your 1200 mile service on your M3, did you notice a difference in the performance of the car afterwards? Supposedly, beyond the oil change and rear fluid change, the computer is recalibrated to open up the full amount of power. What is your experience?

Just got back from the dealer. Its nice to open it up a bit. I'm almost to 1200 miles so not sure if I can do the launches yet.

Power, the car seems to run a little smoother, not noticing much different than before. In the end all the happened was some fluids got swapped out. Funny part is the service manager was aware of the DCT bulletin not to change trans fluid.

I agree, the car does seem different, though I can't put my foot on it. Is this just my imagination?

I feel that the first service was great. The shifting is much better and power feels like its much smoother and faster.

I haven't used the M button too much yet, but being able to use it now makes the car 100x more awesome!!!!!

Is there any truth to this...I've read people state that they retune the computer to allow more HP at the dealership in the first service?...I've also heard that the computer unlocks all the HP at 1200 miles?...is there any truth to these claimes?...im asking because Im taking mine in for the 1200 miles service this weekend and wanted to get informed.

placebo effect...when driving the car in the same manner as pre-service

but being able to rev the cars makes a huge difference! the m3 at 8000rpms is very different from the m3 at 3000rpms (like a whole different car)

My car's in for its 1200 mile service as I type this. I know my SA very well and he said that they do "unlock" the engine computer to allow for a more WOT and a few other things.

Just picked up my car today, e90 m3, and mentioned the 1200 mile service to my SA as well. He said that they do unlock the full engine power and numerous fluid changes (oil, trans, etc.). Car feel awesome, best car ive had yet.
