1200miles 1st service and DCT upgrade recall question

Hello,

I put almost 850 miles already and my navigation screen shows small yellow triangle and says "Service Due" since when I hit around 630 miles.
So I go vehicle info -> vehicle status -> service required, I see yellow triangle at "Engine oil" and says that I need to get this service in 600 miles and make an appointment.
So, I was just curious, this means I can bring my car to dealershop for 1200 service from now on?

Also I heard there is new DCT program upgrade is available (31.2), does anyone know the recall# of this?

Thanks!

I believe the notification is just there so that you are aware that service is due soon and can make an appointment before you actually reach 1200 miles (or in your case 1450 miles). The number of miles until service is due will vary depending on how you drive the car, so 1200 miles for the first service is just an estimate. Where or not your service department will do your service early or not depends on them. I believe most will want to see that the car says service is due now (counter is down to 0), but some will be okay doing it at or around 1200 miles even if the car doesn't say service is actually due yet.

Thanks for reply attbimmer,

Oh..
There is one other meet at cupertino this Friday, which is closer to me, and I was going to go, but haven't decide yet.
Because my M3 will be at dealershop for 1200 mile service and DCT update on Friday!!!
BTW, where I can find out more infos about Milpitas meet?

My 1200 miles service and DCT update took about 7 hrs from drop off to receiving call to pick up.
