Any options for e93 seats?

I'm looking for any options to change or modify my 2011 M3 e93 convertible seats. I've talked with Sal at ACM and, short of installing a roll bar, I can't swap out seats (Recaros) because of the seat belt setup in convertibles. I've considered Redlinegoods.com to have the headrest embodied but don't know how to remove the headrest. Anyone know how? Does anyone know of a State side (East Coast preferably) company like ClassicCarServices.uk? Any suggestions would be great!

As I said, I can't swap out seats. The existing seat belt retractor runs from inside the seat, up through a shoulder bracket, from there across your body, and back your lap to the side of the seat. Remove the seat and no seat belt. Not good. Unless I'm missing something BMW performance seats lack the proper setup, as do all other seats. That's why I'm asking if anyone knows where I can get the seats embroiered or reupholstered.....

What about removing the stock seats and belts altogether and installing a pair of racing seats along with a 5 point harness and harness bar?

A harness bar I'm not familiar with. Does it interfere with access to the rear seats? This is a DD car....
The boys at ACM suggested a 4-point w/roll bar. Not sure if that look right in a convertible unless I gut the back seats and install a INDY's CF rear seat set-up. And that's if they had one for an e93!

So the plan is to install a roll bar behind the Performance seats in order to use the Schroth harness?

Quick fit Pro's hook up to the seatbelt mounting points in the rear. No need for a harness bar when using them... And in fact they are not compatible with a harness bar. They seem to be a good solution for someone wanting to use their street car for an occasional track day. They are tested and approved for use with the OEM e92 and e90 seats (not sure about e93 seats).

Sounds good. Do you know anyone who has successfully and safely used this setup on their E93?

Since the e93 has a built-in rollover safety device there's no need for a roll bar. Safety is not compromised.

I do not. I just got a set for my E92, installed them yesterday, but haven't really used them yet. They are now removed because I will only be using them for track days. The quick fit harnesses pop in and out in seconds. I would not want to use them (or any other 4, 5 or 6 point harness) on a daily basis.

Personally I don't see the point of running anything other than the OEM seat on an E93. If you want to make your car more track oriented then get an e92. The e93 M3 is a great car but it's not what I would choose for any amount of track usage. If you want to change the seats for street use then have fun with harnesses every day... Plus that just looks silly.

So your plan is to drive the car on the street with harnesses? Do you know that for a harness to be safe they need to be snug? Good luck reaching your climate control buttons. Want to brink a dring along for the drive? Forget that because you can't lean forward to reach it.

I get your drift so to say. I came from an E92 M3 but wanted some drop top fun with the E93. And due to time constraint, I'm not hitting the track as much as before.

Just trying to find the best option for setting up a harness on this car when I do hit the track. The problem is the headrest for the vert's front seat is open on one side. That's a worry for me whether any harness will stay in place.

If I only drive the car on the street then I wouldn't do anything at all. But that's just me.
