My M3 with 19" wheels is under construction!

Hi,

Just to give you guys hope, my M3 is being built now and will have 19" wheels. It is due to be finished 3/3/08. I guess this makes it a status 151-155 although I got no warning that it went from 111-112-150.

Also it is a non ZTP car and since I have not heard of what this version is like, I'll be happy to give you all a write up of what a "purist's" car feels like when I get it,

Dan

I just ordered my car a few days ago and my Sales manager said the 19" wheel shortage was only for the Feb build cars....

Sweet, yeah, definitely give us a big write-up when the car comes in. There are a lot of people interested in how the non-ZTP car compares to the ZTP, especially in the steering department.

Sweet! Mine will be very similar to yours (except AW/Black leahter) although I'm waiting until a little later in the year to get it. I'm very curious to see the 'purist edition', ha! I'm getting the same as you, minus heated seats, iPod, Satellite radio and HD radio.

Congrats - less is more!

Thanks.

My only concern is the steering but it didnt outweigh having to deal with the complexities of ZTP. I had an E46 M3 for 5.5 years so I have a basis for comparison,

That is my main concern as well, and like you it didn't outweigh having the nav hump and the extra complexity of ZTP. I like it simple. ZTP is kind of neat and I can appreciate those who are excited by that sort of thing, but it does nothing for me. Can't wait to hear your impressions.
