Blendmount Installed

Just purchased a Blendmount radar mount for my car. If you own V1 or any windshield mount radar I think this is a must. Installation is extremely simple and it looks great in the car. Comes with all required hardware to install it and has a few extra screws if you loose something in the process

I ordered one of these and it doesn't fit.

Do you have rain sensing wipers? the 'bump' behind my mirror looks bigger than yours.

Aren't rain sensors standard?

Pretty sure every m3 has the rain sensors... You just have to make sure to order the correct one. They all come with different sizes depending on the mirror. Which model number did you purchase?

Rain sensors are NOT standard. I've been waiting for over 6 months for the right model to fit mine. It shows "waiting list" on their website. I think, but not 100%, that the mirror for the convenience pkg is different. Mine has a big rounded hump. Can't wait to get one!

You can buy them here directly: http://oneightynyc.com/products/inte...-mirror-mount/

Its the BV1-2014. I think it's the thinnest one they have.

Didn't realize some of them don't have sensors... I though by now that would be a standard feature.

The one I ordered was also the BV1-2014, it does not fit on my fully loaded 2011. Not sure which package includes the larger 'hump' behind the mirror though. Per the previous post, I guess its the convenience package. In the meantime, I have a brand new BV1-2014 in the box that I couldn't return...

I ordered mine directly from Blendmount and they let me return it no questions asked. They understood why it wouldn't fit.

I ordered the one for the 9500 the other day. I'll install it after I get back from vacation.

These will not fit our cars with rain sensors. I checked into this long ago. I purchased the mount in the link below. Although the one in this thread would be best the mount, the one I purchased has proven to be a winner. 100% better than the two suction cups.

I'd be interested if you can post a close up picture of your mirror with the mount installed. Both front and back side if possible. I only ask as my 2011 has really no space to mount the Blendmount and if it did trying to adjust the mirror may be challenging as well.

Blendmount's web page (link includes 10% discount) can walk you through ordering the proper mount for your configuration.

I have one and think it's ideal. Initially I thought it was absurdly overpriced and bought a cheaper mount; had to return that. The blendmount fits as good as an aftermarket mount possibly could.

Here are some pics of my install for the Passport 9500ix (mount model BBE-2014) for 2011 M3 w/ rain sensor. Space is very tight but the mount fits perfectly and allows adjustments to be made to the mirror.

Here is the exact one that I bought: http://store.blendmount.com/blendmou...014-p1658.aspx Shows tons of pics. If this is not your set up the webpage walks you through choosing on this page: http://www.blendmount.com/bmw-3.html
Or you can call them, they are big on customer service!

Thanks for the comment. After further looking behind my mirror it looks possible for this mount. Does the mirror adjust with no interference? Still pricy compared to my mega mount for what it is.

If the back of your mirror is rounded like mine, it won't fit. Just call blendmount if you're not sure. They're very knowledgeable and helpful.
