Anyone Do ED in the month of December?

I just found a dealer who still has an allocation left, probably one of the last in the country who can still do ED, but going to take delivery in Dec. Thought of Munich in December doesn't sound to appealing, anyone done one in the winter?

Need to decide fast so I can make arrangements. Maybe even go in Nov if car is ready then.

My wife and I did Euro Delivery last Christmas, for a 2011 E90 M3. Other than it being cold and having to rent winter tires it was a blast! Nothing like going 105 mph on the autobahn in the snow and having the locals blow by you! Here is a few pics of the trip. The first pic is when they were changing out my M3 wheels/tires for the rental wheels/tires. The second pic is just some small town that we drove through.

I want to go in November when the car is built but won't be able to go until Mid Dec as work and family plans have been made. Wife and I talked about it and will have to pass as the schedule simply won't allow it. I couldn't go back in 1999 as my E36 production was done and now fast forward 12 years later, ditto. I guess ED wasn't meant to be in my cards.

@blittle887: Thanks for the response and pics.

November and December are both good times to come. Good time to go to Christmas markets! It is my favorite time of year. It is starting
To get cold now this week so you must have winter tires soon. BMW will help you get them I'm sure.

Just wait until you have the opportunity to go again. It a trip of a life time. I will never purchase another new car again without doing ED.

What are the specs on your M?

My pickup date is 11/21. Might have to meet up.

I'm renting winter wheels/ tires. How far is the tire place from the factory in Munich? Is that a serious risk driving on summer tires to the tire place?

Take warm clothes winter months in Germany are damp and cold ... also make sure you have winter tires on the car ... other then that your ///M3 will keep you warm and smiling all the way, winter wonderland in Germany can be great ... not on the Autobahn, for that you must seek out the back roads and people at Die Welt will be glad to provide you with detail maps ... it is something they do very well!

Happy Trails ... enjoy!

Looks like you'll be picking up the M5 next year then , don't worry either way you've had to wait 12 years already so several more won't hurt and it'll make the experience that much more memorable. Congrats on the car

Actually, I just put down a deposit on a M3 yesterday so no M5 next year. Maybe for the next BMW, ED.
