Need Help with E93 09/2009 OEM BMW Alarm Installation

Has anyone out there installed the BMW OEM Alarm kit for the E93 M3 built after 02/2009.

I did find the installation manual for the E93 built's before 02/2009 and they for example want you to install the hood sensor vs, it seems that the models built after 02/2009 have the hood sensor already installed.

Also, I could not find the cover behind the left rear tire which supposed to hold the siren and the motion sensor. So, I am bit confused and I am hoping to get some info back from one or the other that may have done it him/herself.

I am aware that I have to get it coded after I have it installed. But that I think is the smallest problem for now.

I really would need to find out where to install it and maybe someone also has the part numbers for the kit.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

my for 2008 was kits # 65 73 0 427 835

they gave me new sensor siren, but when I did the installed my sensor for the hood already build in. so I only need to use siren. dealer have to activate the alarm for you. but my gay dealer want full amount $375... so I have not really activate yet, however the clown nose and the double lock will lock the door if you lock it with the remote. it can't be open, if someone hit the unlock button inside, it will let you open the door some how, but siren will goes off.. I can live with that for now

There is no OEM Alarm pre-wire in any M3 after 03/09 production.

So what does that mean.

Can an alarm be installed at all?
If so, does BMW have to run a new wire harness throughout the car?

Like i said, i saw the hood sensor but I don't know where the new siren and the motion sensor would be installed.

Anyone else has more info on this?

Thanks

Ok. Again.

Your MY2010 (09/09) E93 M3 does not have OEM Alarm pre-wiring.

No pre-wiring, no OEM Alarm PnP (and coding) install possible.

There is a thread in the Electronic forum that explains this, including the E90/E92 OEM document of the Euro full OEM Alarm and harness retrofit -not offered in the USA. The E93 requires its own particular retrofit.

I think you will have to go with an aftermarket alarm. There is a retro fit kit for the E90 and E92 but not the vert for some reason. Check out this thread for a bit more detail.

My car is a March 09 build. I added my factory alarm just in time after I found out about dropping the pre-wire from the factory build.

Rover Active at eBay can get the E93 OEM Alarm retrofit from Europe.
