This exhaust was just recently covered by WCF:

I meant is there a lot of sound dampening overall compared to something like the stock exhaust. I say this only because it's a very subdued sounding exhaust. I'm assuming there's more in the VRS exhaust than something like the Eisenmann Race.

The Eisenmann Race is a straight through design with no sound deadening so in that case there would be more in the VRS design.

Is it possible to request a VRS exhaust without any dampening material?

I agree that the GruppeM has an undeniably awesome growl, but if you plan on releaving the most restrictive part of the system on the e92 later, the primary cat, you'll be gaining more noise that way too, don't forget.

I think you're also forgetting that titanium has very different resonance qualities than steel.

Price?

Nick: Thanks for posting the dyno, those are pretty impressive gains from a cat-back system.

Does anyone have pics with the standard tips? ("non-torched blue")
What is the price point on the Vorsteiner titanium sport exhaust?

Stock Exhaust then Vorsteiner Exhaust

Performance Data

*Peak HP Gains: 14hp

*Peak Torque Gains: 13.23 lb/ft

*37 lbs Weight Savings

Oh wow... gains of approximately 14 to 15hp ay... thats impressive. I was overwhelmed by sexy purs at all RPM levels and also the responsiveness of the car compared to stock.

Nice design exhaust and first class workmanship. Premium price but well worth it if you're keen to keep the car.

Hey buddy,
This system is the first exhaust that has live up to the "no drone" claim and I am well impressed. I am pretty sure that established manufacturers like AA, Eisenmann and Vorsteiner put decent amount R&D into their products are very trust worthy to jump on to. Hence their slightly premium price. The system is fantastic and I am glad that i took the leap of faith purchasing this system.

Hey guys,

I am a resident of the northeast so a year or two of temps hitting the 20s in the winter and then 90s in the summer has me worried that this exhaust will crack and be destroyed in just a year or two. Am I paranoid? this is the exhaust I want but it holding up is the only thing I am worried about. Is this exhaust really on practical for those in places with less extreme temp variations?

Thanks!

Cheers,
e46e92

Hi there,

The Titanium construction is designed for everyday use so variations in temperature and weather should not effect the longevity of the system anymore so than your factory exhaust.
