Finance is a good choice. It is pretty general and won't limit you to any particular job.

take lots of classes in fields that interest you, plenty of time to decide for yourself which area you like the best!

From an MSEE (+10 years of exp):
The EE degree lands you a job quickly with a good starting salary. Then, you creap slowly up (on avg. <5% per year). Or, you can change jobs every 5 years for a nice bump. (Un)fortunately, the EE has many sub-disciplines (RF, digital, power, blah, blah) and once you're in one of those, you become very limited. The worst thing about being an EE is that outside of that you have limited options.
However, it is possible to getout of there with an MBA degree (later) or simply with the Marketing/Sales experience.

Good Luck

Yup, as I pointed out, it is easy and quick to find the job (and it will be). The starting salary is great (in 1997 I started with $22/hr), it is pretty secure job position. I changed job once, for a 40% bump, otherwise, you pee on yourself if you get more than 3% yearly. I work for a major Company (one of the largest Chip makers in the world...).
Work is always interesting and challenging, but as I said, the roads are limited...
