I know it sounds crazy, but this was one of my first mods to my old 2002 back in the day. That poor little horn sounded like a broken party favor. Pathetic.
I never use my horn except when I really need to. I can see the truck horn below as my next safety mod. Seventy bucks is not much to pay for something that could potentially save your life some day. http://www.griotsgarage.com/product/...rrivals&page=1 Awooga!

From who, I want to get this. Drive next to road bikes and scare them. Priceless.

yeah, it comes with a relay. It's loud enough to get the job done but I might install a second one.

If you scroll down on the linked page there are audio samples of each horn. Click on the little speaker to hear it. I think you wire it so both the stock horn and the air horn are live.

I didn't replace the OEM horn. You can wire it either way. Those have the same sound but aren't quite as loud; a friend of mine has one.

Stockers are plenty strong IMO, but I don't have a problem with that mod. What I have a problem with is the installation job. Why butcher your expensive car's console like that? Not to mention you'll NEVER find the button when you need it. Either substitute the stockers with the air horns, or install a hidden toggle switch, but horns need to operate with the steering wheel switch. Next time just do the job right .

So here I am looking on best practice to put car on axle stands (http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=266402) and then I came across this mod from one of the responses (OP in fact).
What on fucking hell processed you to do this? I am utterly gob smacking dumbfounded. And he is actually proud of this mod that he has listed it. Sorry to drag this up again. FML. |
