Oh My God!!!!
I was at a TD bank yesterday around 7:20 since TD is nice enough to stay open till 8 pm on Thursdays and Fridays. I parked my baby and got my other baby out of the car seat behind the passenger seat and started walking towards the entrance. As we were approaching the entrance, this old truck started backing out almost hitting us, so I gave him a look to let him know that he almost ran us over with his piece of sh*t truck. I was in line to see a teller when I looked outside to notice the truck was awfully close to my car. I guess it was stupid of me not to think too much of it at that point in time. When I got home and parked the car in the garage, I discovered the damage on the right side of the front bumber, right head light, little bend in the hood, and completely destroyed right fender. That was when I lost my smile. I hardly slept last night thinking about the whole incident. I went to a body shop in town to find out the estimate for the repair is $6050 since they want to replace every part instead of fixing it with plaster and bondo. That was my first hit and run experience in my life. Has anyone had an experience such as this? Please share.

I did go back to the bank the following day to ask if they can release surveillance camera footage to me. Their answer goes like this, "we don't have cameras outside the building." Sigh......

This is why my dash cam runs until I'm home. I feel like the only way to save money is to replace the fender first, then scavenge for used parts that people sell to replace the other damaged ones. I see headlights and bumpers for sale quite often back in the days, and it wasn't that expensive.

TD doesn't have surveillance cams outside premises indeed.
See if the plaza has any cam and ask for superintendent assistance. Good luck |

Thanks for showing your concerns. The TD I went to is a free standing building in its own building so there is no one to ask for video footage. I think the next best idea is to get a dash cam. Luckily, I am going through insurance this time but this ever happens again, I don't think the insurance people would be too happy about it.
