test drive
Background: I have a 2004 E46 M3.
I went for a test drive at Fremont BMW on Saturday. The sales person was friendly and helpful. I was dressed like a schlub. The car was beautiful -- Space Gray with Extended Fox Red. The clutch feel was very light. It took me a few minutes to adjust. It reminded me of my 1993 RX-7. The EDC suspension was set to maximum tightness. It felt really soft to me. My car feels much tighter. Maybe my shocks are shot? I was offered a May slot at MSRP. I think its a beautful car but I came away going, do I want to pay $60-$70k for this? |

If you think the "max tightness" suspension was "soft" I wonder if you tires are inflated at all on your current car.

No he doesn't........the more people who decide to pass, the less M's there are and the more exclusive I will feel

Thats basically how I felt about the E46 M3... Soft....I also asked myself, is it worth the premium over my E36 M3.... I still have mixed feelings but goes to show you that everything is subjective
