Quick Review: Rear Cam + Multimedia Interface
After doing extensive research on the forums, finally opted for the rear cam + multimedia interface set-up from Kris at Modmynav.com.
The shipping to the Far East was very quick and the kit was very well packaged with all the necessary bubble wraps etc. Pre-sale, Kris attended to my huge no of queries extremely helpfully and patiently. Took me about a month plus to get the kit installed as I have been away but Kris followed up with emails checking how the installation went. Had the kit installed by the audio/visual car techs yesterday - took them half a day to install and test everything, they said it was a very easy and clean install. Having had a day to play around and test the kit, I am absolutely delighted - everything works seamlessly. The video playback from my ipod and rear cam resolutions are of a very high quality and controls for split screen/full screen on the idrive can be controlled from the star button on the steering wheel. Had some questions during installation which I emailed to Kris and received a virtually immediate response. The other mods I have done to the car include the Akra Evo exhaust system, various cosmetic internal and external enhancements etc - but this, together with the exhaust is - in my opinion, the 2 most enjoyable mods I have on the car (E93, 2008 build). In fact, most of the mods I have on the car are from IND, JLeviSW and now Modmynav. All 3 vendors are absolutely top notch, experts in their fields and reliable and honest in their execution. Kudos to all 3 and I will certainly be a repeat customer as long as I keep the M3. Cheers!! |
