Eisenmann or OEM exhaust mod
Hey guys.
dont know what i should do: I can buy a used Eisenmann Medium (yes, medium, something between Sport and Race, special made for the Swiss-Tuner Kistler) for a damn good price with the conecting pipes. Or should i do the OEM exhaust mod (Periokit version) and change tips? cause many here says it's sounds perfect without drone. i dont have the chance to hear one of them... i will a exhaust which is loud in the higher RPM's and not too loud at the lower RPMs. what would you do? Eisenmann. Not down with the currently popular hack-job.

I make 3 for the Eisenmann. Stock still looks stock. Eisenmann tips are much better & it doesn't hang as bad as the stock exhaust. If interested, I may know where you can get a new/used Sport (less than 3K Miles on it) w/connecting pipes.

The wiser decision is oem mod... if you want to shell out money at least get something like Akrapovic or the BMW Performance... at least you save some weight... Eisenmann weighs as much as stock so it is just for looks and sound + drone...

Unless you want to burn a hole in your pocket and get driven insane with high decibels and drone during crusing do the OEM mod..best $400 I ever spent

To be honest, i think the oem exhaust mod well worth the price.
I have Eis Sport, and from what i have experienced, oem has better fitment and quality. The 3k could be spent elsewhere for something that worth a lot more than covering eis's marketing costs. |

Corsa looks ugly as hell and is illegal here in switzerland. also the Innotech.
the tips on the Eisenmann looks perfect. but i'm not sure about the sound. i want a aggressiv sport sound in the HIGHER RPM and the most i read about the Eisi is that they are quiet in the higher RPMs. Eisenmann: $1300 (incl. conecting pipes) OEM Mod: $400 (incl. special 80mm tips) does anyone heard both? Sorry, was on the iPhone. What i meant was that the sounded died after 6k rpm. It's loud at idle and at lower rpm's. At the track i was hoping it would scream but no, so i sold it. Might get a valved exhaust so I can have the best of both worlds.

I hear more engine than exhaust at higher RPM's. Plan on fixing that with Challenge Sport.

I had a Race on mine and really liked it overall but couldn't tolerate the freakin drone. It got surprisingly quieter as the RPM's climbed, it didn't scream as much as you'd expect given the loud low RPM volume. It was still an exciting exhaust though.

That won't change much, at least from the driver's seat. You'll get more low end boominess and bass but the high end won't change substantially. The Innotech with valves open is one of the few exhausts you can hear over the motor. |
