Oem ehaust mod question about packing?
I replaced all the perforated pipe in the muffler with all new pipes and now I don\'t know if I should put the packing back in the muffler or I should not and what will the sound effect be. does anybody know please let me know. thank you

Yes put it back in. You might get a tin can effect without it.

I will try and get one ASAP. My car is parked behind a bunch of cars in the back of our showroom. I'm actually doing the mod on a customers e90 next week. Mine is louder though due to turner test pipes.

Wth all perforated pipes removed, there's zero need for the packing material folks. I couldn't find who to do mine, but I'd only cover (not cut) the long perforated sections, and remove the wire wool covering the short perforations to expose the holes and have some absorption and reduce raspiness. You do need the packing material well placed in that case, but not if there's nothing to absorb. Good day.
