I found this on L4P so I came here. This is one screwed up deal. They should have had these wheels shipped straight back to them in 2011 for that matter WB who said they have no involvement should have had them sent back to them and they handled it with ADV1. When my Audi breaks I dont call germany I call the dealer (to much I need a new car)
Anyone who believes the weight savings bs is slow. Obviously a screw up as stated as a matter of fact I think the issue with Eugene was mentioned to be misaligned bolt holes which was probably the issue here. Now this issue is a couple years old along with the last issue but allegedy this company was a new company with experienced company practices (massive failure) but maybe the newer stuff is better quality. Now on the TUV thing I read to today in the wall street journal that the owner of a investment firm in Iowa stole like $200 million from people just by photoshopping bank statements obviously These skills could be used to scam so much more. Oh and the 55 wheels are made by COR in Miami so its one of SFLA 2 dozen wheel companies. and they are obviously trying to mimick ADV1's marketing with an EPIC FAIL. If you guys want to really get the word out about these failures turn to facebook and tell all your friends maybe start a instagram page with pictures. This is where the real sales are made. Just a final statement I think ADV1 has awesome looking wheels and I would buy a set at the right price and a very thorough inspection but they would probably not sell to me as I would be the biggest PIA customer they ever had and I'm cheap. |

you know, customer's are purchasing the Adv1 product with incorrect manufacturing and fake TUV documents. they have a few sales guys that don't know what there doing and rely on the MHT for fitment's and manufacturing. however, how many more customer's is this going to keep happening too? How many customer's haven't taken there wheels apart and seen the poor quality of manufacturing process of these wheels?

Slightly off topic, but I had the first gen 360 Forged Mesh 8's when they first came out. From the get go they were horrible. Debris in the clear coat. The run around of it all made me go ahead and paint them black. Lost a center cap and it took 4-6 months to get another set. After a lot of calling from my buddy's shop (who placed the initial order) they mailed the wrong set- they were for the "redesigned" Mesh 8. Then another 4 months to get the right set. In the mean time I bent two barrels and those took another 5 weeks. It was always something. I gave up on the 360s and have run my stock wheels since then. I like the ADV1 designs, but can't justify buying them for 1) price and 2) hearing more horror stories. I think my next set will be Volk's.

NO you can still buy 3 or 2 - piece wheels with ease, but stick to proven companies that sponsor raceteams such as BBS, HRE, FIKSE, Forgeline etc... I doubt youll see ADV.1 wheels on the track and this is why!!!!!!

What do you mean? You mean their Trak line wasn't tested for use at the track?

Actually the Pirelli p zero neros which were previus tires were cut the bead beause of wrapping and unwrapping again and again and were used only 400mi and were trash. However I had been patient because Terrence who was ADV.1 production manager/marketing & wholesale distribution was good for me, and his email response was always quick, and he updated the status constantly. I admit their service was good (not impeccable) until this issue was found. (You should not say "impeccable service" by yourself. It is what customers judge, not you.) But the thing I want most is only the quality and the perfect wheel set, and not the service. Even if the service is good, customeres are never satisfied if the products they want are not good. When I let ADV.1 know this issue first, I expected that they would accept this and offer me the refund soon, but they had not accepted it, and Jordan and Terrence had insisted that my wheel set here had no problem. If they accept this problem with a good grace and offer me the refund at the time , I may not go public. And actually, I have already requested the refund to Jordan before, on Jun 15 2012(Japan time), but it was ignored by him. At the time, I decided to go public to get the refund and let you guys know this issue. I have also given them notice that I will go pablic on a forum in the email on 4 Jun 2012(Japan time). > Even if the strength may be all right, these wheels are not quality products. > All people who see them say "unbelievable! they are lemon, aren't them?" > If you guys will deny this, > I want to get many pieces of advice on some forums like the M3 POST forum "22 ADV10TS wheels cracked from the inside out!" > > http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=664569 So they could guess that I would write on forums. In the world, there are a lot of people who have been driving their cars which are installed ADV.1 wheels with their families. I want them to know this issue before it is too late. If someone has thought of getting ADV.1 wheels, I want him/her to refer this information. After that, should decide to buy or not their wheels. I just don't want them to have a car accident. I am really disappointed that I got this issue becase I had loved ADV.1 wheels' design anyway. Now I just hope to refund smoothly. I don't want to write threads like this anymore. I appreciate reading this and apologize for my poor English. |
