New Xpipe CEL solution?

No promises, but once it is adjusted properly, there should be no 02 codes with cat delete.

I installed test pipes a couple months ago and planned on getting a tune, however I had to put it on hold. The CEL was beginning to bother me so I found a BMS DP fix in the FS forum and installed it. Used the app called 'Torque' along with an OBD BT adapter to clear the codes and get readiness info. I am very pleased with this product, see the screenshot I took below:

Unfortunately these have been discontinued by BMS for the S65.

I have one that I haven't used and will most likely get a tune. It may be up for sale soon.

Tune is the proper way to go. Remember that the post o2 sensors do perform a very small amount of correction, especially for catalyst aging.

But in terms of a bandaid, this is a good move, or the Akra Delete-R.

Of course, plus the many added benefits of a tune. I will have you tune my car one day, soon hopefully Mike!

Mike,

I am all about getting a tune if/when I get a set of test pipes. However, the readiness check is obviously of concern for state inspection purposes. Is that something a tune can handle as well? I was under the impression that it wasn't, but I may have missed something.

If not, can a tune and something like this be used together?

Bumping an old thread with a new solution..

I integrated an AndroidPC into my OEM nav and Torque alone is my solution. Torque has the option to periodically scan (in the background) for Fault codes and automatically clear them. Any cleared Faults can be reviewed in the log manager.

15$ for an OBDII Bluetooth adapter and 5$ for Torque. If you're using Torque on your cell phone, get yourself an app called Tasker. Create a profile in Tasker to start Torque when your phone connects to the Bluetooth in the car. Sorry for such a nerdy post but my point is you can eliminate the CEL for 20$ using nearly the same method as the delete-r
