well my sales guy mailed me the RTP must just sign it ... is there any website we can go to to spec the car, and see visually how the trim options etc will look? when will the dealers have allocation?

Please don’t consider any other colour than Black or Silver the E46 M3 with red interiors looked good only for a very short time. I once had a SL55 with a red interior, it was almost impossible to sell (even when they were in demand).

http://www.bmw.com/com/en/index_low.html click M3 (2007) this link is the closest you will get. It shows the silver seats and the carbon leather trim.

I believe allocations will be as of tomorrow, Friday (“You’ve heard that before, lol”). Please let us know as soon as you have a confirmed allocation.

Where did you hear that allocations will be tomorrow? I've found a dealer that only has 2, that's right, 2 deposits already, about to be #3.

Toke my car in for a service the other day. While waiting to be helped ,I toke a walk to new car sales and overheard the sales dudes going on about how they'll be making R200k profit off every new m3. R200K PROFIT??? bloody absurd. Seems to me its the greedy dealers that determine or have the final say in setting vehicle prices.

thanks, I also found it very strange that the extended light pack is an option in a 650k car.

Great find... thanks .

I spotted something that will be really cool if it turns out to be true... there is a no-cost option labelled as "M Drivers Package (Topspeed 305 km/h)"..... initially I thought it's the option that costs R55000 according to the pricelist, but I later realised that they called the R55K option the "M Dynamic Package".... so, it appears as if the "M Drivers Package is just for cancelling the speed limiter:rocks:... anyone?

I also saw that the page where one can choose wheels is wrong... there is no 19 inch wheels... I suppose they are still busy updating the site.

I think extended leather is going to look awesome.

rethinking my option colour, going to go white on black ... or black on black like my prev ///m3 (although im gonna dread the scratches) ... from my experience with the ///M's not gonna take a 2007 model ... gonna take one in 2008 .. is BMW marking up percentage wise the M3 more than the other BMWs?? ... i mean R650k is R150k more than the 335i coupe and that comes std with nav

... when will production start? ...

Dealer does not know when 1st allocation will come ... he think in a months time or so ... with my 335i, RTP was signed in november 06... allocation only in Jan 06 ...

Pretty sure there is gonna more demand for the 4 door ....

BMW Dealers here may not ask more for the car than MSRP

They may give you a discount

Thanks guys. They will only give me a delivery date once the car has an allocation on the system, should be any day now though.

I still have time to choose the colours and trim though... I'm caught between Silverstone II and Interlagos Blue, and Black or Palladium interior. I like the sound of the high-gloss anthracite wood trim though.

Welcome! I can't wait until one of us gets our cars, the "race" is on!
