Off 85% of the time, the balance devoted to checking traffic or the "M" playlist on my iPod.

I almost always have it on unless I'm at an autocross or track day. I can't stand all the rattles and squeaks the car makes when driving.

I'll probably get flamed for this but I have the radio on 99% of the time. I have a serious addiction to music.

Agreed. The percentage of time my music stays on decreased substantially once I went catless and changed out the rear section. The exhaust just sounds too damn good to not have the windows down and the radio off.

Music 1%...Windows open listening to engine/exhaust 99%.
(ok, maybe talk radio down to church level volume to listen for traffic reports or sports talk).

Ordered my M with standard sound, because I figured I'd prefer listening to the V8...was having regrets but this thread reminds me that I made the right decision...thanks

100% off when in a parking garage[/QUOTE]
Forgot to add, absolutely off in tunnels, garages, driving by soundwalls or sides of mountain/hill. If you are ever driving on highway 1 south of San Francisco...there is a new tunnel at Devils Slide (speed limit though).

R-U-Kidding?
F*&k man, I'm almost at 2000 miles on my new ride, and I can honestly say that I've completely forgotten about the radio/Blue Tooth BS!!! Especially after adding the BMW Perf Exhaust.
Simply exhilarating. It's actually like a fetish! This car also makes me get dressed MUCH quicker in the mornings for work just so I can run out and press the Igniton button! LOL!
