What attracts you to monoblock wheels?

Hey all.

This could be a weird question, and hopefully it hasn't be asked before, but:

I was wondering what attracts you to monoblock wheels?

I see alot of cars on the forums with it, but can't get myself to the flat style wheels? I'm more of a dish look or wheels with polished lip (fat ones), so wondering what your take is on this.

Don't get me wrong, they all look clean on your cars. Maybe its from the euro style and I'm still new to it? I have the stock 19's and like the dish to it. Would like a bigger dish though.

Thanks.

The fact that they are typically lighter and stronger.

Its a function over form thing.

Oh ok. I guess on that aspect, I wasn't thinking about the function.

What dish on the stock 19s? The stockers are more flat style IMO.

A single piece wheel looks larger and appears to fill the wheel well better, and the wheel will typically have a stronger construction when it's designed as a one piece forging.

On top of functionality of it being forged/stronger and in some cases lighter, it always comes down to personal preference. These Monoblok (1-piece) wheels dont have as much of a "bling" factor that sometime 3-piece wheels give off...

There are many quality wheels out there, and many are a one piece design. Advan, Neez, even BBS, make one piece wheels.

I've always loved the three piece stepped lip look as well, but I haven't seen too many people pull it off on an E9x M3.
