EDIABAS with wireless connection?

Does anyone know how you would set this up to connect through a wireless interface instead of using USB?

I'm sure it's possible but depends on what type of wireless and the device drivers. EDIABAS is looking for port 1 so as long as the device is accessed through the ports, you'll be good. Bluetooth can do this.

Just get a USB extention and you'll be far enough from the car.

For basic coding, you can do it wireless from your Apple/Android phone using BMWhat.

Thanks for the response.

The problem is accessing it through the ports as it creates a wireless network directly with the device. This means that I cannot see a way to direct com1 to the wireless connection. If I could then I have a feeling it would work.

I was hoping to grab the 001bfsc from the vehicle using this connection but I think I will have to get a cable instead.
