I'm sure you guys have to regroup once you get to angeles crest/la canada anyhow, so meeting there would be good. Just set a time.

I'm probably going to bow out once you guys get to about newcombs which is about halfway up.
We'll probably be at the bottom of the hill around 10:15 and you can join up with us there.

Looking forward to seeing everyone! I might be going to SB that day so I may split off at the 405/101 North. See you all on Sat!

Garage List
Sounds like a good plan to get my low mileage garage queen out of the garage!

It's still under 17k on the odometer.

So where exactly would I meet you guys....does the Shell at the base of angeles crest work?

If you're going all the way to wrightwood, it would be a good idea to fill up, especially with some spirited driving. There's a no name gas station in wrightwood, but nothing else until you hit the 15.

And Giggs, I know you want to play it by ear, but a few more details would be good. If you're set on driving up to wrightwood, that's cool, but if you're hungry afterwards, I think the closest thing is probably victoria gardens on the way back. I'm only in wrightwood for snowboarding, but nothing else comes to mind there.

For another option, taking angeles crest to mt wilson is a good option. You have the nice winding roads of angeles crest (which sadly will be filled with slower cars at that time) along with the tighter roads up to mt wilson. It's some good variety along with some great picture opportunities up top.

I have a few friends that want to meet at the Shell at 10, so I think it would make for a nice meet/refuel/staging area.

Once you take the turn off angeles crest, it's about another 5 miles up to the observatory. Real fun road.

I'd hope the drive up and down would be nice and quick, but you can park up top and take as much time as you like, or hustle back down and do more driving if that's preferred.

Here's the address of the Shell for anyone else

4530 Angeles Crest Highway
La Caņada Flintridge, CA 91011

The shell makes for a good meeting point unless you have a bunch of cars coming.

Yeah. The lot for the restaurant area next to it is a nice sized lot though.

People are meeting at the LA meet point as planned. Then meeting with others and regrouping at the Shell station.
