I remember back int he day there were E46 Sedan M3 Spyshots(Ill find the sources later I am not at home to look) and everybody was first waiting for it and at the end there was no sedan M3... Do we have official proof that tehre will be a Sedan M3?

Those spyshots showing the e46 m3 sedan were actually BMW's attempt to cover up the coupe so we all turn our attention away from it thinking its is just a sedan.

Yea, we had a fake crease just in front of the rear wheelarch to make it look like a read door as well as a poor attempt at a fake door handle. Will have to dig out the original photo and rescan it at higher res. Also, we had silver regular 4dr with the M3 engine in them before the prototypes which had same wheels and quad exhaust which may have confused some. We were regularly chased when doing our in town testing around LA and Orange county which we had fun with |

Yes, I was a durability test driver here in Los Angeles where BMW AG has an engineering shop.
It was next to LAX but they moved to be next to the BMW port of entry in Oxnard which was another hour commute so I left. We were driving the M3, M5, X5 and Z8 prototypes around the time I left. Pic above is from our Big Bear route which was probably the best of the 8 we had. If you hang out around where the BMW's come in at Port Huaneme (sp?) NW of LA at around 5am you may occasionally see some prototypes leaving a workshop. |

I'm not saying you're not who you say you are... but, if you're telling the truth, then what I read on the web is totally wrong.
"Officially, this M3 is still a concept. Looking beyond that description, however, the car revealed here officially for the first time is pretty much what you can expect to see when it goes on sale in North America next year. Insiders tell us that this E92 coupe is the first of a whole lineup of models from BMW's M division, including an E90 M3 sedan, E93 M3 hardtop convertible and (for the first time) an E91 M3 wagon." http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do...ticleId=108751

Not sure if you picked up on the fact that I was a driver back when the E46 M3, Z8 and X5 were only prototypes and none of the 3 were on the market yet I think I left in Jan 2000 so no idea what's going on at the moment |

I actually worked for Kett Engineering and was contracted to BMW AG. Kett contracted with a bunch or manufacturers so if you live in Los Angeles give them a call as they probably still contract with many including BMW. pay was about $12-18/hour |

"Please take this as confirmation that both yourself (Simon XXXXX) and Kyle XXXXX have placed your deposits of R20000.00 each to confirm your place in the order bank on the New BMW M3. Estimated pricing on the 2 door will be R620 000.00 and 4 door will be cheaper. Unfortunately we have not been given an idea on that. Please would you confirm that both orders will be for the 2 door M3." |

Although it is not official proof yet, from the new E92 M3 update PDF page 18, you can kind of depict that there is going to be a M3 sedan. Number of doors/seats will be 4/4 instead of 2/4 for the coupe. Source
