Odd tire wear - MPSS

I was hoping you all could help me identify what has caused this

The car is a Z4MC with stock suspension. The front camber is set using the 'free camber mod', so around -1.7

These are front tires, Super Sports, 225/45/18. This is how they look after a track day

The is a strange line in the middle of the tread blocks on the inside of the tire.

I have worn other sets of PSS tires down and never encountered this, the tire seems defective.

Any ideas?

Thanks

You sure you're not experiencing a lot of understeer? I've seen that type of wear before but it was usually from someone complaining of understeer. The tires and tread blocks looks like they've been scuffed. Also, depends on the track surface if the pavements not so great and the asphalt is real grainy it will eat your tires up and you won't really know why.

I'd say that tire is grained pretty badly. It is generally caused due to high cold temps and tire heating up too much and thread starting to separate under acceleration and/or braking.

I'm sure there is a lot of understeer. -1.7 camber is practically nothing on a Z4M chassis which needs -3.5. Besides, 225 front tires for the track is way too little

It still looks odd to me
