I will say this. When they are built nice the car doesn't sound like its been modified. No squeaks, creeks, rattles, or road noise

okay that makes some sense for street driving. i may have to partially close my e46 or deaden it so i dont have to wear ear plugs to drive on the street.

Ilia said they added insulation to deaden the sound from the trunk. I haven't driven it yet to advise whether it worked or not.

Reason? I love the E46 body style but the raspy S54 kills it for me. You find an exhaust set up to get rid of the rasp or do you like it?

M3 returned from iND this past weekend. Enclosed are my initial impressions after driving 100+ street / highway miles.
I'm hoping iND may have pics to post shortly.

1. Upgrade to VT1-550 from VT1-535 is noticeable and good value ($ to HP). I posted in the Engine section more detailed thoughts but I would recommend this upgrade to anyone with a VT1-535 who wants to stay Married or within a budget - (whichever applies).

2. Fall Line half cage is substantial and extremely well done. Pulls the M3 suspension and frame together, car feels very tight. I used to get some minor body flex but that is gone. Friends now tease that if a Nuclear war occurs they are hiding out in my M3.

3. Rear seat closeout is exceptionally well done. iND's upholsterer is an Artisan. Looks OEM but the most impressive issue is the noise! There is no discernible difference from before the original seats were removed. They used insulation and at highway speeds, the cabin is as quiet as it was before. Impressive!

4. RaceTech 4009W Seats: Actually are quite comfortable. After 90-120 minutes on the highway, I want to stretch my legs. They could use a removable Velcro cushion at the base of my back for better lower back support. My Wife has offered to make one for me. RaceTech I was told is considering this option (hopefully soon since my Wife will probably make a cushion from pink cloth just to be funny).

5. M24 Oil Cooler and 6 PT Harnesses: haven't used or noticed much from them yet. Probably will during my track days.

Summary: I am exceptionally pleased with the quality, fit and finish of the whole project. iND and their partners do fabulous work! Ilia and all of the folks at iND are tremendously helpful. I wanted my M3 to be functional, still street legal and modified for the track with the goal to look OEM - iND was able to help me achieve my goals now it's up to me to become a better driver.
