I got my elite 4 months ago and its fine for my needs i don't need 250gigs i can't even fill 1 gig in my 120 the only thing that looks worth while is the built in wifi about damn time Microsoft!!!!

i red ringed 3 x boxes. hope they solved the issue.

should be solved now that the new xbox has more airflow. Redrings were mainly caused by poor cooling mechanics in the old xbox's.

If any of you guys have an old one, Gamestop is giving some killer trade in offers. An old 360 alone is worth $100 toward the new slim, then my 20gb HD for instance is worth $30 and my other white wireless controller that I never use is $25, so basically I am getting $155 for my ancient 360 and controller. Just a heads up.

Yeah me too. Mine is starting to get flaky and is really old (I had my RRoD issue fixed in 2007) so now is the time considering how sweet the new one is and that trade-in thing at GS just sealed the deal for me.

just saw this too but realize there is going to be a $199 version of the slim with a smaller HD very soon. if gametop still has this deal by then i will def do it there but if not i can easily sell it myself for $100-150 and just buy the $199 version.

Nice. Do you know how soon by chance? I am working on repairing mine and hoping it holds up a bit longer, but so far its not good. It's getting the Xbox equivalent of a quadruple bypass at the moment.

Darn, missed that GameStop deal. Although I am guessing they were just giving store credit which would be of no use to me.

I am selling my oldschool 360, which was barely played on, two wireless controllers, and a few games if anyone is interested. I simply have stopped playing console games.

I got mine during the gamestop event. Payed like 180 extra for the slim. Looking back on it, I wouldn't of traded it in plus had to pay cash on top for basically the same thing. It's just quieter, has a 250gb hard drive and runs cooler. My 06 model would of benefited me if anything. However it was a good deal and overall good console.
