Sean Avery of the New York Rangers brought in his Audi S8 for some minor customization. One of Sean's main concerns is keeping the ride quality; big wheels are a no-go. We kept it simple and gave his OEM wheels a matte black powder coat finish. We also added 35% tint all around. We originally planned on blacking out all the grills/emblems, mirrors, and the chrome window surrounds. After creating a photo shopped rendering of what it would look like, we decided to leave it alone, the contrast of the black/silver works well.

This 2010 Porsche Panamera Turbo was brought in today for a full wheel repair job and exterior detail.

These wheels are 22" Hamann Anniversary wheels with custom painted centers. All four lips are severely damaged in multiple areas of the wheel. We are going to straighten all four wheels and give this filthy Porsche a complete exterior 3-step x2 detail. Paint cleaner x2, polish x2, and carnauba wax sealant x2.

Updated pictures to follow....

Here at Proformance IND, no detail is too small to escape close attention. "To confine our attention to terrestrial matters would be to limit the human spirit".

This set of E30 M3 engine covers came in for a make over. We gave them a exterior color match with brushed aluminum lettering. This effect will really bring the engine bay to life.

A tribute to one of the worlds greatest performing sports cars, the Porsche 911. Both cars are in for some TLC... some paintless dent removal, wheel refinishing, and interior work.

Here is another Mercedes Benz CL that came in for wheel repair. The lip was bent pretty bad so we will be replacing the outer lip with a new one. This car is just a beast, looks stunning in person.

This Brabus tuned Mercedes Benz CL was dropped off today for some wheel issues. The front wheel has a pretty nasty bend in the outer lip. We will remove the tire, straighten the wheel, then re-install the tire and road force balance it. Went a little heavy with the HDR on this one, my apologies....

Today forum member disruptv stopped in for a minor vibration issue. At first we thought it could be his newly installed 5mm spacers. We diagnosed his issue and it turned out to be a bent lip. We straightened his wheel, remounted and road force balanced his tire and he was ready to go. No more vibrations!!

Forum member M33 (Zim) brought in his 08 E90 M3 for a complete make-over. We really went to town on this car.. Here is a breakdown of what was done to this beast:

Wheels/Suspension:

We custom built a set of 3pc 20" ProForged PF10 wheels for this M3 and wrapped them in Goodyear Eagle F1 tires. The centers are matte black with gloss black lips. The car was lowered with H&R sport springs.

Exterior:

RD sport front bumper supplied by IND
Carbon Works CSL trunk
Smoked sidemarkers and black kidney grills supplied by IND
3M clear bra
Retrofitted 09 tails

Interior:

Alcantara headliner
BMW Performance Steering Wheel
K40 integrated laser detector
Retrofitted 09 idrive

Performance:

ESS SC Kit 600VT2 - Installed and tuned by ESS
Dinan X pipe
Meisterchaft GT2 muffler

The M3 looks, sounds, and performs like a complete animal. It's not complete yet though.. We just ordered a set of Brembo BBKs. Updated photos to follow...

This car belongs to a good friend of the shop, Mike Musto. He is serious car nut and will be running in the One Lap of America coming up. We did a tire swap on his 430 to get it ready for the long hike across the states.

Heres some background info on One Lap of America for those who aren't familiar...

The One Lap of America is a motorsports event in the United States that has been held since 1984. It is the successor to the Cannonball Baker Sea-To-Shining-Sea Memorial Trophy Dash, an underground auto race of the 1970s. The premise for both is to drive cross-country, but the One Lap of America respects speed limits. Both events are the creation of automotive journalist Brock Yates.

Competition occurs as time trials held at various race tracks around the country. The competitors drive from race track to race track, (often driving 24 hours at a time) without the benefit of support crews. The field of competitors is divided into several classes based primarily on original manufacturers suggested retail prices and number of doors. Competitors may make any modifications to their vehicles as they see fit but must run on a single set of tires throughout the entire event. Race track events are time trials with up to eight cars on track at a time. Competition is for fastest time rather than wheel-to-wheel racing.

The first One Lap in 1984 circumnavigated the lower forty-eight United States with the scoring based on comparing the entrants' declared mileage with that of the organizer's ("guess Brock's mileage"). From 1985 through 1991 competition was a series of Road Rallies: time speed distance events conducted on public roads. The length of the One Lap of America has been as long as 10,000 miles (16,000 km) over ten days (1989) to just under 4,000 miles (6,400 km) over six days.
The One Lap of America has attracted such famous drivers as Parnelli Jones, Price Cobb, Brian Makse, John Buffum, Elliott Forbes-Robinson, and Hurley Haywood
