Yes, you posted some good times and I know that with another gear and some better wheels/tires you will go lower! Did you get your new 18" wheels/tires yet?

I appreciate your adult response and hopefully we can both get out there soon to lower our times! This is great to see some really fast E9x M3's out there!

Larry,

I've seen you post some things here and in other threads that infer certain things, also there have been plenty of "questionable" dyno's going around, but frankly I don't care, I've seen it all before, it's fruitless to argue about, but enough, if your intentions were to only ask simple questions then we can leave it at that, this is an internet sports car forum of course things can be taken out of context.

What's interesting to me is Sammy's car made 512whp on a Dyno Dynamics at 5.5psi, about the same as my #'s on a DJ, lol, but his 60-130 times are a second slower, I know he will improve that with better tires, but this is another reason I don't put tons of stock in dyno #'s. FWIW another Gintani car at approx. the same boost level as me, only difference is he didn't have cats, made 550whp on that DJ! So maybe I need to lose the cats like you and others.

When you get your wheels and tires and find a place closer to sea level you may eclipse my time, best of luck to you because I know that means more to you than dyno #'s as well.

vbox dyno says you're making 520rwhp (and it typically runs 5-7% lower than dynojet so I'd expect ~550rwhp if you took it to another dyno):

Enough with the childish my car is "quicker," "quickest," "faster," "fastest" M3 shenanigans. That's the kind of rhetoric and discussion that turns threads like this into an endless back and forth of chest thumping and manhood measuring silliness.

What dyno's are you looking at? From the dyno's above that Drew posted, his AFR's are richer than yours up top, not the other way around. And also be sure to remember and take into account that Drew is running cats, so the tail sniffer will read leaner, whereas you are catless, in which your AFR's are more accurate from the tail sniffer.

Export to excel with WinPep at every 100 RPMs: RPM, TQ, HP, BOOST. Send to my private email account and I'll make the fitted curve graphs and post them. Call me if you're not sure how to do this because it can be tricky with WinPep.
Robert, I am running cats so with the tail sniffer it will read a tad leaner. You are not running cats, I never had a problem with your AFR, I just said it wasn't conservative on 91 octane with that AFR near redline, you said you were on 91 octane. I'm on 91 octane and Meth, if you were on race gas you should be in good shape at that AFR. My AFR's are consistant and do not go leaner as the RPM's climb near redline, yours do. You did not take your car to redline, if you had the boost would have been higher and your AFR's may have gone leaner, not sure on the AFR's though. Mine are consistent up top, yours oscillate a bit in the upper range, and start go leaner up top, at around 7700RPM.

Here's the charts to compare at certain RPM's. Also, my pre cat AFR's on my AEM wideband are 11.6 through the upper RPM's, since this is precats it's more of an accurate indicator.

Drew, you are DEAD ON about how AFR's read post-cat. IMHO I think your AFR's look really good (and conservative) given that you're running 91 + meth. When you decide to up the boost and get a new tune you will make quite a bit more power .

Thanks Jason and I agree, people are smart enough to judge for themselves what fits their needs for their car, etc.

We all want to excel, PG, while I don't agree with him at times, actually goes out and shows us what these cars are capable of, he posts excellent data, and I'm always going to pull for him when he does push his car, unless we're going head to head , I think he feels the same about me and others, at least I hope so.

The tuner bias is natural and I hear it quite a bit from all sides, but at times it is total HYPERBOLE, lol.

4 days and 9 pages late to the party....Drew congrats on your enhanced toy!!!

The e92 m3 is superb ride straight from the factory I cant imagine the feel of one with over 600 block horsepower. Very Nice! Enjoy your hard work!

Any word on the difference between 1320 vbox street runs and runs at a prepped track????

Thanks Mike, they are very close, normally the trap on the Vbox is .5-1mph higher, but the ET on the Vbox is usually a bit slower, only one way to find out.
