I emailed D-Force wheels and they said their 18x10 LTW5 will work. Here is a copy of the email...

"Our 18x10 LTW 5 wheel easily clears them. However on the rear we would provide a hub centric spacer (added cost) and lug bolts. This is due to the staggered offset of the car, not to cover the brakes."

They weigh less than 20 lbs and cost about $300 per wheel. Sounds like a good deal to me.

Having bent a couple wheels hitting curbs, I wonder if that would be enough to damage the calipers, or cause a more serious incident?

Usually you bend the edge of the lip. You'd have to seriously bend the rim. If that's the case, your car is probably going to the shop with some suspension damage.

cipher,

Do you physically have these wheels, or are you contemplating purchasing them?

If you have the wheels, feel free to give me a call and I can help walk you through the process of checking to see if they will fit with our BBK.

We are also very close to releasing a NEW application for the ///M3 that uses a limited production 365mm disc that may allow for better clearance and open us up to more wheel options. Heat capacity is the sole reason why we are limited to the larger diameter discs and we are just finishing up a series of testing that is required to get the 365x34mm discs approved.

I have a pretty decent feeling about the clearance on the Advan wheels so I'd like to help you explore that idea first. I'll keep everyone in the loop on the progress of the 365mm option.

I think your best bet is to wait for their 365mm kit. It will give us more options for 18" wheels. Lets hope it actually does.

We've got a test vehicle back in the warehouse again.
I'll have a better idea on where we are at by the end of this week.

We'll do anything we can to offer a brake kit that has more available wheel options, only as long as it does not compromise performance or longevity.

The 380mm (15") kit is truly amazing, and a dramatic improvement in overall performance. While it would be cool to say that we have a second option that now fits under 50 different wheels, or even the OEM 18" wheels, there's not point unless I can say the same thing (performance wise) about the new kit.

So first I like to remind people that the OEM 19's fit the 380mm (15") kit perfectly with no spacer needed.

Most guys sourcing 18" wheels are using those as their "track" wheel, and keep the OEM 19's as a street wheel.

For 18" track wheels...

CCW - Corsair series
(Check with John at CCW to ensure fitment)
HRE - Competition Wheels 590/890 & 18" Monoblok
(Not all applications fit...you must speak to them first to confirm)
Forgeline - EV1R
(Not sure if the BMW fitment is ready yet, but we have confirmed that this particular wheel works for other models.)

There are more, just can't remember them all right now.
I'll update this post as I think of them.

It's basically a "chicken or egg" scenario, which comes first?
There's plenty of wheels that fit, you just need to look for them.

The new 365mm kit will offer even more options.
I'll try to keep the best track of those as I can and update this thread as we go along.

365mm (14.4") Brembo kit just released.

It looks like it will fit the OEM 18" wheel with a spacer.
The good news, there is plenty of room for up to a 15mm spacer with the OEM wheel.
It would give the car a more aggressive stance and a wider trak.
Better for handling and you don't need aftermarket track wheels.
