I've stayed at the Super 8 before. It wasn't too bad, though I did take my own sheets and pillow covers lol

Just signed up

I'm a bit nervous as I'm relatively new to tracking and you guys seems all experts. Please stay off the beginner group

I just came back from a great track day at willow spring last week-end, I can't wait to get out again. I'm hooked now.

Great detective skills... it was with Pit Crew. We had open track the entire day. I managed to clock over 200 miles of track time. :cool!

The Best Western very nearby is much better than the Knights Inn/Super 8 and the Red Roach Inn/Motel 6, I stayed there once, but it's essentially double the price. Pick your poison, I guess.

Hey,

You have seriously NOTHING to worry about, I assure you. The track is pretty empty and you have ton of room with the car ahead of you or behind you.

You will love it and you will have a CD to take home with you (pictures of you on the track) or download via the website.

Josh

lulz, they mailed me those invites too, and I wondered how they got my name & address too. Said invite is fancy lettering on fancy paper, and I understood once I found out their price is around double yours.

Thanks for the reassuring words. Now that I have signed up, I can't wait to go

I also signed up for instruction. How much can I expect to get?

Don't want to hi-jack this thread with Pit Crew event review but I'll say this: Yes it is expensive. There were very few cars, I think ~8-10. It was more about taking your expensive car out for a few fun laps than improving your lap time. I think this last comment depends more on who shows up rather than the organizer.

We didn't have timing but looking at the in-car video footage, it looks like I did pretty consistently 1:44-1:46. This was my second time on the track. My first one was with BMW in December. What do you guys think of this? Do I suck that bad or is there hope?

No. The ones I can remember are: GT3RS, 911 Turbo, Panamera, 911, M6, Maserati, me (E90 M3) and instructors X5M and Mustang GT.

I didn't ask how they got my contact info but was wondering the same. I'm pretty new to the scene and somehow managed to get an invite in the mail.

When I first checked their website it was $500 but later the price dropped to $400 if you register at least 5 days ahead of the event.

This makes your event a bargain from my perspective assuming comparable track time. If I can get decent instruction as well, than it's a real deal for me

Every driver has 2 sessions, once those two sessions are done, you can use the professional driving instructors at your disposal. (Mike Bonnani and Jordan Yost, Google them.. They run time attack trails, are professional driving coaches and much more)

1:44 is pretty fast for big willow, I'm only at a 1:35, Ricky is at 1:30. There is room for improvement! We will be going out soon to big willow, it will be less then 200$ for sure.

You'll love SD events.

Yes but my hotel is a black cargo van

No good hotels in that area.

See you there!
