So Why a 07 335i and not keep my E46 M3?
M3 is an M3 no matter what year it is especailly with that timeless look coming from the E46 but 335i does have its pros, its got comfy seats, a modern interior maybe with the idrive, but its not an M, yes i can beat an M with only little mod but is it lacking the connection between the driver and the road, and it tends to be softer than the M...
So should i sell the M and get 335i coupe 6 speed, or keep the M3 thinking more on the market value...335i will always be 335i...but M is always M what do you think, help me out. |

Keep the E46.
Regardless of the mods, the 335 sounds like a vaccum cleaner. My E46 330 CI with ZHP exhaust sounds a lot better than the 335.

true true...i can see my E46 with a full exhaust being a head turner than a 335i where it just blends in with any other car out there...

Unless you're upgrading to a newer M3, keep your current M. I love my E46!

I've never driven an E46, but if the high-revving NA I6 feels like my E90 M3's NA V8, I'd have no problems deciding upon the E46 over a turbo 335i.

keep the M or upgrade for an E92 M3 when affordable. the 335i is nothing else than another 3 series down the road, but a good 3 series nonetheless.

Take a test drive of the 335i and then make a decision- you may like it or you may not! Its only 4 seconds slower around the ring than the E46 M3 so out of the box it doesnt handle as well but it is still a fine handling car, its not an M car though.

Honestly, I'd take the 335i. Granted the M is a better handling car but in every other way the 335i is superior, and really does not give up a lot to the E46 M3 in terms of handling.
This is a good candidate for the "M3 vs." forum, BTW. |
