got a warning from a cop for accelerating too fast before (exhibition of speed) so i only accelerate fast if someone else next to me is faster... i dont want to be the first one off the line.

Me too. He asked "were you racing someone?"

Um no, I just bought this car so I could roll out like a Prius.

I only hammer it off the line if no one is around. I have to practice getting the power down when I can!

I like to let the other car get ahead of me...then drive by and blow his doors off...but have only done that a few times...gas is expensive here in europe.

hahahaha are you driving a dct? even a manual prob actually... its so funny if u tap the throttle quick itll raise rpm but wont move ive fooled so many people with that.

what i like to do at the red light is a procedure:
M mode ON
DSC mode OFF
Gear Ratio +1
DCT stick UP TO -
THROTTLE= REV till about 6000 RPM
GREEN LIGHT: release DCT stick and let the beast LAUNCHHHHHH

hahaha i wish. i accelerate calmly till about 3-4k rpm then gun it so i wont burn and stay in one spot while Mr. Prius passes me up.

Assuming it's nice driving weather. . .

I'd say it depends on what's next to me, how far it is till the next light, and if I have my windows down (so I can hear the exhaust note better).

Oh and I guess how scary they look in the car next to me.

Long story short, I thought I was having some fun with this Mustang next to me at a few lights, but apparently he was getting a bit swore of me beating hem. Next thing I noticed was he started following me a long ways and I notice the Mustang was full of 3 young guys (feels weird saying that when I'm only 27) and then I thought "oh crap they might be following me to beat the sh!t out of me when I stopped!". They followed me for about 10 miles (half city, then half interstate) till I basically reached near the city limits then they got off on an exit.

Maybe I'm just a bit paranoid but it was an erie feeling and kind of goes back to another post someone had today about the ///M3 attratching a lot of haters/d-bags/a-holes.

I tend to be a bit more reserved after that incident, do it more when no ones around.
