Yeah Its not an rpm setting its a time (to rev limit) setting...which is why it comes on earliest in 1st and latest in 6th. The vid would show better if he went WOT.

Interesting, in the vid it shows going to red, but not flashing like an overloaded movie style gauge indicating a severe meltdown, like mine does.

One particularity I have noted is that the shift lights activate at a higher RPM when the kick-down button on the throttle pedal is depressed.
If I don't have the throttle pedal fully to the floor (kick-down button not engaged), I get the two red lights around 7800-8000 RPM. However, if the kick down button is engaged, I get the two red lights light at 8400RPM. |
