A question, I am concerned that the Vorshlag top ring is transmitting load onto a smaller surface area of the strut tower, compared to the oem strut mount, where you can clearly see compression marks on the outer edge of the felt-looking material on the oem strut mount, which extends further out than the outermost edge of the Vorshlag top ring.

I haven't found any issues with the current design from previous threads, but from an engineering standpoint, can it potentially cause more stress on the strut tower, increasing the risk of "mushrooming" in the longterm when subjected to large and sudden impacts, that the oem mount may be designed to attenuate? Thanks.

Good point. I think the strut tower brace mount hardware should guard against mushrooming.

Here is what I put in my R53 to stop mushrooming: http://www.outmotoring.com/mini-coop...defenders.html The E9X m3 has that stuff already.

Please! I would like to know as well. I am on Vorschlags since September. I never thought about the OP questions before that.
